The Slings and Arrows Graphic Novel Guide doesn't care where you've been, where you're going or where you're located. These are accompanied by production illustrations from Braithwaite and Ross, followed by a layout section and reproductions of Braithwaite’s pencils before Ross applied the paint. i think this probably uses all the 'dc' comics characters, so i have a better understanding of who is who, though again primarily through the movies. I found Ross’ work in the late 1990s to be the lift we needed, alongside Grant Morrison’s out of the post-Crisis malaise DC Comics found itself in. Allowing for the possible exception of Davis' The Nail, I agree with FlashFreak: Best JL story ever put to paper.

So let’s address that: this book is nearly 400 pages long for a story that could’ve been told in a third of that space. But e members of the fabled Justice League of America are about to learn they aren't the only ones who can band together toward a common goal.This volume is another example of the Justice-League-almost-wiped-out-by-a-gang-of-evil-thugs-but-comes-back-and-kicks-ass-because-Batman-devises-a-plan-because-well-he’s-Batman story line.

The original volume of the JLoA, especially the 1970's issues, are the reason I fell in love with comics, and reading in general.This is my favorite graphic novel of my favorite comic book hero, done by one of my favorite artists.
