I often find myself reaching for this book even having read it cover to cover whilst sitting on the settee, just to revisit these incredible images. This otherworldly fable spirals out of control when the power-hungry grown-up cons the children into exchanging their youth for his magical promises. This bizarre story has an important message at its core but like the magical butterfly powder effect, it's easy to be distracted by all of the crazy mayhem going on around it! The superlative world of the creatures is matched by the fifty-metre long kelp fronds, as one chapter here concentrates on the aquatic plant life that is a vital part of the whole system. Here at Blue Planet Aquarium we pride ourselves on being a great place to visit for all the family and our space is designed with access for everyone in mind. The book is structured as a journey through different ocean settings – starting with The Deep, where we meet the weirdest and most wonderful creatures that look like something from a sci-fi movie but are – the book assures – as real as you or me. Blue planet is a stunning book with incredible photographs and interesting facts that really keep the reader interested and learning no matter what level of knowledge they have.
