Description

It feels slightly more like looking through a window into another world and slightly less like looking at a screen. Speaking of Fortnite, playing it 240Hz at 1440p is a little weird at first, but after a couple of matches, there's no other way I want to play that game.

As much as I am impressed by the picture quality, the LG can't escape the common problem that plagues some OLED gaming monitors: brightness.OLED and the stellar HDR experience it brings means you can enjoy games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Zero Dawn without missing out. I even had a weird experience in Halo Infinite where throwing a grenade too close to my feet black-screened the entire monitor until I unplugged it and plugged it back in, but I couldn’t reproduce it more than twice, and it might have nothing to do with the monitor or HDR. Gamers who’ve been waiting for a desk-friendly OLED monitor have really been treated in the last year with the Alienware AW3423DW and Asus ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ.

YouTube works great at 1440p HDR, 4K HDR, and even 8K HDR on this monitor (slightly aliased due to downscaling), so there’s no particularly good reason why the paid subscriptions can’t ( it’s because of DRM). They’re also incredibly responsive, leading to glassy, clear motion that’s beyond all but the fastest LCD screens. The rule of thumb was IPS for bright rooms, VA for dark ones, and TN only if you absolutely, positively needed the highest refresh rates — or a budget panel. Asus has one in its ROG lineup, Corsair launched a Xeneon model late last year, and LG has the 27GR95QE-B in its UltraGear range. The Samsung Odyssey OLED G8/G85SB S34BG85 and the LG 27GR95QE-B are 1440p OLED gaming monitors with a few differences.

The Dell Alienware AW3423DWF and the LG 27GR95QE-B are both 1440p OLED gaming monitors with a few differences.

Combined with the response time, motion clarity can reach the levels of a 360Hz panel, making it a great option for competitive games like Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six Siege, and Valorant. While it gets bright enough to make some highlights stand out, it isn't bright enough to deliver a truly satisfying HDR experience with highlights that pop. As nice as it is for LG to include a small remote for controlling the LG UltraGear OLED 27GR95QE-B, the benefit is almost ruined by the fact LG links almost all of the control of the monitor to that remote.which again is good, with any number below 3 being acceptable, below 2 being professional-grade accurate and below 1 being perfect. bandwidth, but the LG supports 48 Gbps bandwidth compared to 24 Gbps on the Corsair, so your source doesn't need to use compression for demanding signals. This wouldn’t be a problem if you could control the on-screen display with the button on the monitor, or if LG had included the battery, which very few people are likely to have laying around, but neither of those things are true.

This UltraGear OLED gaming monitor is protected by a limited two year warranty covering internal and functional parts and labor, including OLED Display Panel. If you want to improve the colour accuracy further, the 27GR95QE works with LG’s Calibration Studio software though you will need one of the listed colourimeters to use. OLED's advantage over other panel types for competitive gamers is obvious when you see it in action.
