I just need to get it into my head that it's better for me to steer clear if soapiness is mentioned even once in the context of a fragrance. Being in love with all sorts of heavy orientals, I surprised how much different Moschino in its orientalism is. I want to add that this isn't an anemic bouquet that I encounter increasingly with more prestigious perfume houses when it comes to edt concentrations. The drydown is sensual, as sumptuous vanilla swirls in a mix of amber, musk and earthy patchouli to give a charismatic intensity to the long lasting trail. This is a great balance of flowers and spices with green accords to start with and a traditional recipe at its base for a good longevity.

While we strive to provide accurate and helpful information, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy or reliability of the AI-generated pros and cons. and I would add that, even though the notes don't indicate it, for me there is at some point in the drydown a chypre-esque quality here. My other favourite sandalwood is in Venice by Yves Rocher, they share similar qualities but Venice is sweeter, rounder, deeper and shyer.

If you like your green florals and chypres Orientals woodsy musks a la Shalimar Emeraude or even Fendi by Fendi you will love Moschino. Definitely not suitable for job interviews as this is a non-compromising, "love OR hate" type of perfume, but never both.

Though I've never tried Calvin Klein Obsession, I absolutely swoon when I smell this, I just inhale deeply and exhale slowly to prolong the aroma in my nose. I detect in Moschino some similarities to other scents I have enjoyed (Bal a Versailles and L'Air de Rien, for example), but Moschino is such an odd mix of spices, greens and sweetness. To me this is very herbal, spicy, warm and a little fiery but at the same time, a calm scent as well.

If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Musks, florals and warm powdery notes start to develop and this scent grows and grows as it warms on the skin. Its everything really: musky, airy, green, yellow, herbal, sweet (but not in the caramel, candy, creme brulee or the like kinda way)-you should know what i mean ! the perfume is exemplary because it is a flowerbomb yet with the pepper and nutmeg (prominently) it gave a twang which enhanced the perfume totally.

I've owned many perfumes over the past 14 years, this is the only one I don't clearly remember the smell of. Maybe there was something wrong with my purchase, but it was an overpowering smell of heavy flowers, with a very sharp opening. As these float away, they expose the base of amber with its warm and resinous oriental touch, musk, and sumptuous vanilla. Utterly charming and mysterious perfume: musky tones, lovely flowers, a touch of vanilla, warm wood. I always smelled something like Chanel No 5 with either cumin, caraway, and now it appears to be nutmeg grains. If you normally like chypres, but don't think you care much for the heavy vanillic Orientals, you might want to give this a try, assuming you can still find it. The strange notes of oregano, coriander and nutmeg added something peculiar to it's composition which I liked at that time. I actually decided to try it because of the comparisons to Obsession which I love, and I do see the similarities to begin with, but really they are only similar, to my nose, in the opening.
