Whether a gift for yourself or someone special, this striking collection of Members Editions unites some of Faber’s most beloved authors in a format to last generations.

The scriptwriting wasn't particularly great (it was very bare bones, most of the flesh is in Sally Rooney's dialogue), and it wasn't as visceral as the prose but this still gets 5* because it's such a brilliant story. Sally Rooney is the author of the novels Conversations with Friends, Normal People and Beautiful World, Where Are You. O'Rowe's third film, Perrier's Bounty, was nominated for three IFTAs and his adaptation of Daniel Clay's novel Broken won Best Independent Feature at the BIFAs in 2012.This special hardcover edition of Sally Rooney’s modern classic has been specially designed for Faber Members. She was the editor of the Stinging Fly in 2018 and a Cullman Center Fellow at the New York Public Library from 2019–20. Normal People is the story of a relationship between two high school classmates in a small town in Ireland, and how it changes over time, through their last year of college in Dublin. A collection of the scripts of episodes 1-12 of the television series Normal people, accompanied by behind-the-scenes photos and an introduction by director Lenny Abrahamson. I became infatuated with the TV show adaptation when it was broadcasted during the summer lockdown of last year, after I read the novel, and reading this just reminded me of how much I enjoyed binge-watching the series.

Some people say that's what true love is, loving someone despite (and indeed because of) their flaws and insecurities, despite the fact that they drive you up the bend. the book was very internal and subtle but you got to actually SEE marianne and connell’s thoughts throughout. combines] deft social observation—especially of shifts of power between individuals and groups—with acute feeling .

I like Normal People, or more accurately I go back and forth on Normal People but usually lean toward liking it fine, but. For television, O'Rowe has written Temple starring Mark Strong for Sky, and Episode 11 of Normal People for the BBC and Hulu. With over a million copies of the main edition of Normal People sold, this special edition will be a treasured gift to those who loved the book. Centred around the inner lives of Marianne and Connell, Rooney charts their entry into adult life as they learn about intimacy, forgiveness and self-belief against a backdrop of shifting social spheres.
