There are so many features on this board its pointless trying to list them but suffice to say its got everything you are going to need, and there is always the effects loop if you are missing some random effect. The BOSS GT-100 is an excellent guitar effects processor, but I prefer the BOSS GT-10 because it has all of the effect buttons (Compressor, Preamps, EQ, FX1, FX2, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, etc. Also, it goes to show how easy the unit is, as I have done all of this without once using the Manual, and of course I will put my hands up and say that some of the issues are down to me! On paper, the GT-100 allows me to ditch the other three pedal boards (I'll still use a vocal effects pedal too), but whilst I'm getting close, I haven't quite replicated all of the sounds I need for the band's full repertoire yet. Comp, Limiter, Sub Od/Ds, Graphic Eq, Para Eq, Tone Modify, Guitar Sim, Slow Gear, Defretter, Wave Synth, Sitar Sim.

Using the GT-100 directly into my actual amps (I hope that I can switch channels on my Egnater with it too! On the whole the speaker modelling was shockingly bad in my opinion, the only thing that seem to work was the 'original setting'. BOSS’ top-of-the-line guitar floor processor gets a big performance upgrade, adding even more great features for stage and studio playing. Another factor which is important for live use and something I found particularly heartening with the GT-100 was how it seems to sit well in the mix. There is less definition with distortion as there are more overtones created because of the hard clipping. So you go to press what you think if assigned to FX1 and you discover that it has completely changed it's assignment. I've had a vox vt15 modeling amp for 10+ years but space is a premium and I have to keep having to put it away and pull it out. If you’ve use a similar product (I moved up from the previous GT8) you’ll know that you can’t have massive functionality without a bit of a learning curve. I run it through a small Behringer mixing desk into two Yamaha DBR12's and all I can say is that it sounds awesome.

I used to teach guitar and people kept asking me to make tones for their multi effects and I discovered I had a talent for it, and this is what inspired starting ToneGarage.
