Really satisfied with xone K2 Extremely flexible great sound card and the possibility to map the K2 your own way is perfect. At first I didn’t like the faders on the K2, being used to the normal ‘slab’ like faders… but the more I use the K2 the more I realize I have a better grip with one-finger fading by placing one finger in the mastering-like fader and then using other fingers to do whatever: loop, trigger buttons, etc. Su complejidad puede ir desde básica/intermedia /avanzada de acuerdo a como el usuario decida mapearlo. Studiocare Professional Audio Limited is acting as a credit broker offering finance products from Omni Capital Retail Finance Limited. The high quality internal sound card provides flexible user setup options using the Xone:K2 with headphones, headphones and a mix system or with an external mixer.

We supply AV hire production companies, installer / integrators, retailers and resellers operating within the live entertainment, leisure, commercial, residential and retail markets throughout the UK. s renowned touring grade audio and build quality standards, including the use of steel nuts on all rotary controls to protect the circuitry from impact damage. There’s certainly a lot more you can do with the Xone K2 though, and so when I downsized my set up I thought this would be a great option to tackle everything I needed in a controller. Two could be used together to double up (it’s possible to aggregate audio), or you could use one or two of them with an analogue mixer. You can use an RJ45 cable, but I don’t advise experimenting with plugging the Xone K2 into networks! The controls can be used in three layers using the layer button which opens up the controller to even more possibilities with 171 MIDI commands. Size wise the K2 dwarfs the X1, and the build quality is more impressive too; nutted pots add stability and durability whilst the buttons have a more responsive feel. I was a little surprised not to see any Serato love, and I double checked to make sure I hadn’t missed a configuration utility akin to the controller editors frequently seen bundled with other developers’ products, but keeping the MIDI assignments on the unit’s physical controls is probably a good idea to keep the layering the K2 is capable of manageable. My only real reservation with the case is that when using it as a stand, the sheer amount of padding and protection it’s equipped with adds quite a lot of bulk and means that setting it up completely flush with the rest of your equipment isn’t really possible. As a quick visual reminder, when toggling through layers all switches assigned to a particular layer will illuminate in the appropriate colour.

Use the mixer’s Latching Layers system to assign controls to multiple layers—giving one physical control up to 3 functions. The built-in sound card is a good option to have and what’s more, this Traktor Kontrol X1 alternative doesn’t have the Traktor focus as far as labelling and control layout goes, and so will be equally at home mapped to whatever software you choose. This digital DJ controller is ideal for live performers and DJs who need an external controller to take their performances to the next stage. Xone:K2 has 52 physical controls, including 12 analog and 6 endless rotary encoders with push switch, 4 linear faders, and 30 backlit performance switches, providing up to 171 MIDI control commands across 3 layers. The second mode adds in the switches under the pots, and the top four endless encoders, but leaves the pots and faders unaffected. With the layer press, the controls can be used in three layers, giving the controller even more versatility with 171 MIDI commands. or make available to You after the date You obtain your initial copy of the Software unless a further EULA is provided with these.

Where you are a Consumer and there is any conflict between the terms of this clause 11 and the Consumer Terms of Sale, the terms of the Consumer Terms of Sale shall apply. It’s not as loud as an NI card, but it’s definitely loud enough and the latency keeps pace just fine. Editor’s Update 8/11: Latching Layers (the ability to set different layers that are frozen or unfrozen on the controller) have apparently been removed on the K1. Due to the compact size, the very useful layout, handy soundcard and supplied carry case, it really is a great multi-purpose tool which I recommend warmly.Midi mapping is not difficult and once you’ve created a mapping that works for you, you’ve effectively made a custom DJ controller for yourself. You may obtain a complete copy of the source code of the LPGL Libraries without charge at https://www. What each control does is entirely up to you – you can create a completely customised layout that perfectly fits the way you want to work. Sound Quality: It doesn’t run as hot as an NI box, and it doesn’t quite ‘glisten’ in the same way that a well designed 24 bit card does, but I’ve no complaints as to the sound level or quality.
