The Adventure Dry is a pretty tough and rugged boot, but it treads a fine line between the road and the rough stuff. Well it’s a boot designed for the adventure bike rider who is going to be spending some, but probably not all, of his time off road. Cross-country, the feel for the bike was great and movement for the gear and brake pedals was spot on. Their 25-years of know-how and experience in building motorcycle boots were completely dedicated to developing a new and innovative range.

Integrated TPU inserts and reinforcements provide protection from impact injuries and unbreakable GH plastic buckles ensure you won't be sidelined if you have a tip over. I love this style of boot for road riding with an old school look, might look a bit silly with race leathers though. Only one issue, the upper Clasp on one of the Boots is not properly aligned and therefore doesn't close completely. Due to the special lightweight sole design, these boots are not recommended for use with kick-start bikes or with motocross style footpegs. The outer distressed look Full Grain Leather is backed by the Drytex technical membrane ensuring they remain waterproof but breathable for optimum rider comfort.Yes the leg protection is reduced, but they still offer more protection and performance than regular touring boots. I havent worn the second pair yet , the first pair are still in great shape , i even go for 3 mile walks in them daily. The sole is a little more rounded then most of my other boots and doesn't quite grip the foot boards of my cruiser as well as I'd like but for more conventional bikes, i.

The clips are easily adjustable to give a snug fit and they're easy to "step out of" which is important when removing them to step into my tent without hopping about and falling over. Equipped with a vintage leather finish and Drytex waterproof/breathable lining, the Adventure Boots keep your feet dry without limiting range of motion. Due to the special lightweight sole design, these boots are not recommended for use with kick-start bikes or bikes with aggressive motocross style foot-pegs.The boots offer a secure fit with an adjustable velcro closure and GH plastic buckles that are both replaceable and adjustable. The Forma brand is now recognized as one of the most innovative brands in the motorcycle boot business. On top of all this, they handled the odd water splash well and when it came to hopping off the bike to grab a coffee, they were as comfortable on the ground as the bike. So whether you're riding around the world, or around the city, with Forma boots you will always be prepared for an adventure! I have wide calves, the boot straps had plenty of adjustment but not much overlap though this may change as the boots loosen up.

Both boots have three adjustable buckles which you can tighten or loosen to find a comfortable, snug fit. Slide your feet inside the polymer, memory foam inner and overtime the padding will mould to their shape for a comfortable, supported environment.Plus, because you can’t walk naturally in a plastic boot, that puts pressure back on your knees and over time you end up with bad knees. I wanted to have the maximum protection I could get and I was totally convinced that MX boots would be perfect. These Forma Adventure Dry Motorcycle Boots, in Brown, are made from Full Grain Leather backed with the Forma Drytex waterproof and breathable membrane. I had been touring with a set of Alpinestars SMX-3 boot, and while this was comfortable and easy to live with being a low boot, it was a bit too sporty and have very little in the way of grip on the sole.

I was reliably informed that they would bed in very quickly but from the off they were extremely comfy with a good padded interior. Your review is invaluable, because you compared the different models within Forma which is far easier to consider than comparing brands.

Terras are definitely more suitable off road, they can take much more of a beating and you can stand up on the pegs for hours. I’ve already purchased my own pair of forma boots and they are very comfortable, I’m dying to try them on the road!
