Jason told us, "I'm extremely pleased to be working on this podcast with The Book of Man and Talisker. Jason Fox joined the Royal Marine Commandos at sixteen, serving for ten years, after which he passed the gruelling selection process for the Special Forces, serving with the Special Boat Service for over a decade and reaching the rank of Sergeant. From deployment in Afghanistan to walking to the North Pole, Jason highlights what it takes to develop emotional resilience from working within some of the most pressurised environments on earth.

I picked up the book about a month ago and didn’t read it until yesterday and since then I couldn’t put the book down. Fox is one of the original presenters and directing staff on SAS: Who Dares Wins, a reality television programme where contestants experience a gruelling training course loosely based on a condensed version of the special forces selection process.

I am impressed with how Fox opens up, and it does appear to be a follow on from Battle Scars (the first of Fox’s literary efforts), with certain elements of his mental health explored some more, but ultimately, providing the reader with his solutions to battle through the fog. To admit all this and honestly lay out his struggles to overcome the PTSD takes great courage on Mr.

When people let situations run away from them and don’t take care of the situations, it can go wrong. The ground-breaking new book from former Special Boat Services Sergeant Jason Fox, star of Channel 4's SAS Who Dares Wins and number one bestselling author of Battle Scars. Here, in his first column, Foxy talks about leadership – and no, it’s not all about being a tough guy “It’s not about screaming and shouting. I’m not sure I’d revisit this one, but for the most part I enjoyed it and my review certainly doesn’t take away from his aim to help people.Jason was recruited as one of the instructors on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, in which civilians are put through the physical and mental rigours of Special Forces training and selection. He is a man who has experienced a lot in life – composing through extreme jobs in his British Army roles as well as a simple guy from England living his own life – Jason has a lot to say. Okay, there is a decent book in here somewhere and, perhaps, a decent editor would have helped bring it about. The programme first broadcast in 2015 is produced by Channel 4, and aired its fifth season in February 2020. In April 2018, a team of ten adventurers, including Fox, embarked on an expedition to the North Pole.
