There are other features on the 4 disc's that I haven't listed but as you can see 4 disc's the original film and hours of features. The disc will play perfectly without interruption and the case, inlay notes and sleeve may show limited signs of wear. Exclusive 4DVD Version 1978, director John Carpenter changed the face of horror cinema and made movie history with Halloween, the terrifying account of psycho killer Michael Myers' horrific rampage through the small town of Haddonfield. Hidden in the heart of Russia, there is a Soviet-era city where thousands of people live and work behind barbed-wire fences monitored by armed guards.

It examines why the films are so popular and revisits many of the original locations used in the films - seeing the effects on the local community. The first quarter century of the Halloween saga, from the 1978 original to 2002's Halloween: Resurrection, is thoroughly tracked in an 83-minute documentary on the subject. Also quite fascinating was the coverage of fans and the activities attending the first Halloween convention in 2003.It truly stands at the head of a long list of films that tried to copy, but ultimately didn't quite achieve the standard. A fine documentary about the franchise (the first 8 movies) and interviews with people who work on those movies. Not because there is excessive gore and violence, but because of the skillful amalgamation of suspense, atmospheric music score and brilliant direction. The documentary does get a little bogged down at times in showing clips of the movie, but the interviews are quite wonderful to see. The most delightful element of this thing, however, is seeing plenty of vintage stills and 'making of' footage from the shoot, which will be of great interest to any fan.

In other taped panels, H4 and 5 heroine Ellie Cornell is most likable; cinematographer Dean Cundey is intriguingly technical; and a Michael Myers reunion allows seven of the masked murderer’s alter egos to reveal their favorite kill scenes and recount the various injuries they suffered. Ja vielleicht mag die us version viel länger gehen, aber die doku über halloween in spielfilm länge reicht vollkommen aus um sich ausfürlich zu informieren und mal hinter die kulissen zu schauen. For devoted fans of the Halloween series who couldn't make it to that legendary event, this is definitely the next best thing to actually having been there.

Video evidence, obtained from official surveillance cameras installed by the states themselves, confirms the geotracking evidence. Sending the stage appearances off on a high note, Akkad and Yablans appear together, fielding audience ideas for the ninth film, going into detail on the ’78 film’s origins and giving both their fellow Halloween creators and the franchise’s devotees due appreciation. In one convention clip, this devotion is rewarded when a drawing is held to award a lucky fan the chance to appear in the ninth Halloween; the winner is a cute girl whose victory is evidently unrelated to the fact that she flashes the documentarians’ camera elsewhere on the disc. I was impressed by the collection of interesting documentaries and interviews over the four discs and having a remastered copy to replace my outdated VHS copy is very satisfying. Editor's Note: This was originally published for FANGORIA on July 25, 2006, and we're proud to share it as part of The Gingold Files .

The camerawork here is on the amateurish side, but the discussions all hold the interest, particularly cast reunions for the first film (Soles, Cyphers and Brian Andrews, plus executive producer Joseph Wolf) and HII (Pamela Susan Shoop, Tawny Moyer, Cliff Emmich and Gloria Gifford). The film marches through the years, providing some fairly interesting behind-the-scenes material: the alternate versions of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, and the controversy over differing Michael Myers masks in Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later. Chock full of cool information and rare tidbits, this one is, to my knowledge, really the first out of the gate in terms of a fan-made FULL retrospective on a film. The documentary proper follows the chronological history of the franchise by way of film clips and interviews with just about anybody who had anything to do with Halloween and its successors, from Carpenter, producer Debra Hill and star Jamie Lee Curtis to a few of the folks behind the unfortunate Halloween: Resurrection, the last release in the series to date.Halloween: A Cut Above The Rest, a documentary about the making of Halloween on disc 2, plus On Location 25 Years Later and trailers, T V and radio spots. Interessante Doku mit Interviews der Darsteller und Mitarbeiter hinter der Kamera, am Set und der Leute aus der Maske, zum 25.
