A warning on the durability from a user perspective: If you are interested in Marshall headphones, check user reviews on durability issues. We don’t hear a huge amount of difference between the latter and the Marshall preset, aside from a little more emphasis on the mid-range perhaps. The EQs are set and managed using the Marshall Bluetooth app and you can select from a list of presets or create your own. While there are reasons to like the Marshall Monitor II ANC headphones, it lacks some truly premium features that other top headphones have such as support for high quality Bluetooth codecs.

The Marshall Monitor II ANC are undoubtedly the brand’s best headphones yet; the audio quality on offer here far surpasses any of its previous models, with a balanced presentation, smooth mids, and a generally powerful, rock-ready sound. audio port should you want to listen with the included coiled wire, as well as a USB-C charging port. Wonderfully weighty at 320g, with a solid steel frame, ultra-plush ear cups and a flexible headband that keeps the Monitor II's feeling tight and controlled while on the move - without feeling overly sweaty or uncomfortable. The sound quality is good enough for my non-audiophile ears, and the Active Noise Cancellation is acceptable. My experience with the Marshall Monitor II headphones has been, in short; revolutionary - and I simply cannot go back to my regular earbuds again without feeling at least a hint of disappointment. On Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild," the kick drum loop receives plenty of high-mid presence, which helps annunciate its punchy attack.

They don't get daily use, but I do use them often as a reference and for recording, and they are starting to make random creaking sounds, so they've gone off the "duty roster. Being a self-proclaimed audiophile and enjoying a whole range of eclectic, frankly bizarre music from a spectrum of odd niches - I can safely say I've truly put the Monitor II through its paces, and so our question remains - how did it do?And then, in come the midrange vocals with Lindsay Buckingham's calm, soft tone backed by both Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks, lulling you into a blissful, melodic groove that's never sounded better.
