We’re at the lower end of the savings we’ve seen in the Boarding Patrol series so far – and the Aussies are getting particularly hard-done-by with this set. Boarding Patrol: Drukhari – Contents The Death Guard are the doomed 14th Legion of the Adeptus Astartes, a particularly resilient group of trench fighters who were turned to the ruinous powers after undergoing gruesome torture while stranded within the immaterium. Drawn into eternal servitude to Nurgle, the chaos god of death and decay, these space marines underwent a terrible transformation which left their bodies swollen with disease, forever rotting but almost nigh-impossible to kill. Continuing to wage the Long War against their now-hated loyalist foes, their Primarch Mortarion plots invasions from their plague planet within the warp while Nurgle’s champion Typhus roams the galaxy spreading disease and enacting his own devious schemes. Chaos Daemons have – appropriately, given the arrival of Angron – manifested as a huffing and slavering crash of Khornate nightmares. 10 Bloodletters and 10 Flesh Hounds are led by Khorne’s favourite hunter – Karanak, the Hound of Vengeance. In the cramped confines of a space hulk, these frenzied killers will close the distance between enemy guns with warp-flushed speed and savagery.

Led by the Lord of Virulence, a fearsome character armed with twin plague spewers and a plague claw, this set also includes three Deathshroud Bodyguard and 10 Plague Marines, each with contaminated wargear suited for close combat or ranged firefights. The sons of Mortarion are ready to fumigate their local voidcraft with this bloated Boarding Patrol led by a putrid Lord of Virulence, his three sworn Deathshroud Terminators, and 10 incredibly sturdy Plague Marines who benefit from a corrupted cornucopia of weapon options. Boarding Patrol: Genestealer Cults This box can be used to assemble a variety of units – the recommended build for Boarding Action games is a Lord of Virulence, two units of five Plague Marines, and three Deathshroud. Global prices have been estimated from similar-priced products. Boarding Patrol: Death Guard – Price Value & Savings Summary Warhammer 9th edition has made a strong case for gaming at any size, and the Combat Patrol and Incursion level games allow new players to get in games at standard levels with some mission support. You and your opponent can agree to any amount of points to play, but ideally shoot for 500 points, 1,000 points, and finally 2,000 points as milestones for having a “complete” army.Ultimately, this is a decent Drukhari force. You get the best of both worlds – melee and shooting options galore. Infantry and specialists rolled into one. Wyches can shoot and sit on objectives, whilst the Succubus and Incubi can go in for the kill and really fudge your foes up.

On Warhammer Community, we’ll have reveals for three different games**, more details of Vashtorr and the impact he can have both on and off the battlefield, and plenty more besides. If you want to expand past that, you can add more plague marines, a second HQ, and start thinking about daemon engines and what kind of play style you want to support. Painting Your Army The Inexorable: Are more difficult to charge, their Contagion boosts AP against nearby enemies, and their relic can regenerate wounds on Inexorable vehicles One HQ – This model will also serve as your Warlord. It’ll most likely either be a Malignant Plaguecaster or a Lord of Virulence. You cannot currently buy a Lord of Contagion by himself. It’s just a pity that 20 of them are Cultists, cultists are fine and all, but they are just so samey. the painter in me is not excited for them. Abaddon and some Chaos Marines with an upgrade sprue though! Hellz yeah! Lead your invasion with the Lord of Virulence, clad in his warped Terminator armour, as he reduces whole corridors of enemies to a foul sludge with his twin plague spewer and plague claw. As he advances, he's guarded by three silent Deathshroud Bodyguard – brutal elites wearing Terminator armour and armed with sweeping scythes and vile plaguespurt gauntlets. In their wake follow 10 Plague Marines, toughened and festering warriors with an array of contaminated wargear suited to both melee and close firefights.
