I seldom write anything about the bottle, because I consider flacons to be of secondary importance. What matters is what's in it. But I like this one very much! This simple design, the lid, the spray head, the shape of the bottle - that already looks noble. Just in the small 40ml version.

Acqua Di Gio Profumo was definitely a masterpiece in its own way, and even though it’s a flanker of the original fragrance, it certainly has a signature scent that many people love Profumo was never a powerhouse for me. It starts of pretty strong, but is much more moderate past the first few hours. Not weak, but it hangs around. As a parfum, it has the higher fragrance concentration. As I’ve mentioned above, Acqua Di Gio Profumo is so versatile men’s fragrance that it could almost be a year-round fragrance. However, aquatic marine notes just don’t fit into wintertime. Giorgio Armani is known for his good fragrances and has always been very popular and sought after when it comes to his fragrances. It’s always best to visit the perfumery itself because you have the advantage of testing the fragrance there and figuring out if is it for you, but considering the latest news on discontinuing this beautiful piece of art, chances are not very good that you will find it in perfumeries.Acqua Di Gio Profumo smells like aromatic, fresh, and very masculine scent often reminding of Mediterranean beaches, saltwater, and a classy attitude. It definitely has original Acqua Di Gio DNA, you can clearly smell it and it’s like they a bit of heaviness to it. Even though I updated this article at the beginning of April 2023 with accurate information that Acqua Di Gio Profumo wasn’t discontinued, only a month later Giorgio Armani pulled this fragrance out from sale.

Applying 5 sprays of Acqua Di Gio Profumo will deliver optimal performance of the fragrance – 2 under your ears, 1 behind your head, and 2 in the dips right beside the clavicle bone. Meanwhile, Profondo starts off quite a bit like the original Acqua di Gio. The bergamot note takes the lead and is flanked by a slight mandarin orange note. The main difference is that Profondo is more marine, with less of a salty quality, and a resinous aroma from the lentisk. On average, Acqua Di Gio Profumo projects for the first 3-4 hours after the initial spray, and the projection distance is 4-6 feet. Both of these colognes are very versatile spring and summer wears. That can be worn by men of all ages. Can be worn casually, lightly to the office, out on a date, etc. Since they do overlap so much, it would be easy to call this category a draw.Acqua di gio profumo has the same effect on me as the music, mysterious, clean and with a lot of depth. The prelude is cool, aquatic and slightly dark and awakens the described associations in me. Profumo moves very close to the original, but gains a beautiful depth through the incense and patchouli, which make it look much more mature and mature. The aquatic aspect remains always present in the foreground and is accompanied by a little spice. Acqua di Gio Profumo gives its wearer a certain elegance and self-confidence. An Acquat with woody spicy notes. Just bear in mind that with extra sprays you won’t increase its performance – you will just waste the fragrance.

For me, this fragrance certainly has niche character. Price / performance fit perfectly. 100ml for ca.80-90 euros. And the Mattschwarze flacon is a poem. The durability is very good and I get a good 10h+ with 4 sprayers. The Sillage is very good in the first 3-4h and flattens out very slowly, at least for me. After 4-5 hours pass, people will still be able to smell it on you, and the intensity doesn’t change for those who come near you. I recently tested the AdG Profumo in a perfumery next to Sauvage EdP. The latter was nothing for me and I'm not saying that I think it's bad, it just doesn't suit me. I didn't know either of them yet, as I haven't tried many new perfumes so far and had stayed with my YSL L'homme(s) (yes, I'm one who likes them!). But since my last bottle of L'homme was empty, I went to the perfumery and thought it was time to discover more new things. After all, I have been registered here for a short time. However, you can’t really overapply Acqua Di Gio Profumo. If you want “more parts of you” to smell as well, then feel free to add a few more sprays on places like your shoulders and chest (on the shirt). On average, Acqua Di Gio Profumo lasts for 7-9 hours, depending on your skin. As I’ve mentioned, it’s a very stable scent and longevity doesn’t vary much. The opening act of Profumo is laden with bergamot and the salty marine notes. It is darker and has a mysterious quality to it. Also, featuring a incense note that adds a smoky layer to it, as well as a very nice sage. Update: Profumo has been ‘discontinued’. Meaning, they’ve released a newer Acqua di Gio Parfum, which is basically the same thing, with maybe some slight alterations. I might now be tempted to go with Profondo, as I’ve seen a lot cheaper bottles of that floating around than either Parfum or old bottles of Profumo.
